Weiss, Partner and Managing Member of Abbott, Weiss, Faith & Darnell, PLLC, has been awarded Board Certification as a Criminal Trial Law Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy (NBTA). As of July 2026, Weiss is the only attorney in Hamilton County, Tennessee, to hold this certification.
Board certification by the NBTA is awarded only after an attorney successfully completes a rigorous, independent evaluation process. Candidates must demonstrate substantial trial experience, submit references from judges and attorneys familiar with their work, complete extensive continuing legal education requirements, provide samples of legal writing, maintain a record of good standing and ethical conduct, and pass a comprehensive multiple choice and written examination.
